We source our honey bees from the top honey producers in Northern California, who continually monitor for mites and sickness throughout the year in order to provide a strong, resilient stock.  Our honey bee packages are transported in the least stressful way possible to ensure that the packages arrive healthy and strong. 

When you purchase your honey bees with the Snohomish Bee Co. you will also get the support and service from a local beekeeping supply business.. We will always stand behind all of our products and will be there to provide you with care that you deserve!

We source our Carniolan honey bees from one of the top suppliers in Northern California. Our provider leverages best in class support to raise strong, healthy honey bee stock. Carniolans are considered a cold weather, hardy bee, originating in the mountains of central Europe, they tend to survive colder weather for longer periods of time.* . 

* While honey bees are bred for different characteristics, their survival and success is entirely dependent on the beekeeper applying sound, animal husbandry techniques throughout the year.

What you will get in your honey bee package:

- 3lbs of honey bees (~10,000 honey bees, a mixture of Carniolan and Italian workers)

- 1 Mated (Proven), caged Carniolan queen (Marked or Unmarked)

- 1 Can of liquid feed provided during transport

 Your Carniolan Package Options for 2023 : 

- 3lb. Carniolan Package w/ unmarked queen $200* + tax

- 3lb. Carniolan Package w/ a marked queen. $ 210* + tax  

*Please note that our Carniolan supplier mixes all worker bee types before adding them to specific packages as they are a very large operation. This being taken into consideration, your worker bees may not all be Carniolan. However, each and every Carniolan package we provide will contain a healthy and proven mated, Carniolan Queen. 

All honey bee orders MUST be picked up on package pickup day.  We do not ship honeybees.

Carniolan package pick-up date is tentatively scheduled for:

- Wednesday May 10th, 2023 (Returns w/out fees until April 1st)**

We make our best effort to deliver honey bees on the dates scheduled, however, weather and other conditions outside of our control can cause unexpected delays.

* Price includes a $5.00 refundable cage deposit which you can return at our storefront

** Package order changes are free until March 1st, 2023, there will be a 25% fee after March 1st until March 31st. No order changes after April 1st, 2023.
