Mite Treatments
With the summer quickly winding down, we need to start getting our soon to emerge winter honeybees ready to survive the unique conditions that we face in the Pacific Northwest from November to March. A recent study found that by working to severely reduce mite populations by mid-August, beekeepers are able to tips the scales in their honeybees favor for winter survivability. (Mattila, H.R., J.L.
