We have a variety of hive bases that will fit both 10 Frame and 8 Frame systems. In Western Washington, we have very wet weather and milder winters which means lots of moisture to have to manage. Screened bottom boards offer excellent ventilation throughout the year and when treating for mites, the screened bottom board allows the mites to drop onto a mite count board.
